Andi doesn’t believe in matchmaking. But when her best friend buys her a subscription to Toujour, a professional matchmaking service, she agrees to give it a try. She’s matched with a celebrity client, but he can’t make her heart flutter or her limbs turn to mush the way Ben, her best friend’s brother, can with a simple smile.

When Ben’s fiancée calls off their wedding—for the third time—he flees to Los Angeles, desperate for a new beginning. He moves in across the hall from Andi, his his high school ballroom dance partner and his sister’s best friend. Despite nursing a broken heart, his long-forgotten crush flares to life. He’s just beginning to believe he can move past his breakup, and maybe even ask Andi out, when his ex-fiancée shows up on New Year’s Eve, determined to win him back.

Dating the wrong people has convinced both Ben and Andi that what they really want is each other. All that’s standing in their way is a fake boyfriend, a jealous ex-fiancée, and being afraid to risk their hearts.

I loved the whole dancing motif in this. Dance was kinda my life for a bit. It brought something to the book that most books do not have. Dancing really does wind a powerful spell over you, and this book captures the feel of that spell perfectly. The thrill you get while dancing is one that is hard to describe, but Lindzee Armstrong did a great job at putting it into writing and giving you a little taste of that thrill.

The story was really cute. I felt really bad for Ben the whole time. I mean, being in a relationship like that can’t possibly be easy, but he loved Whitney anyway. Even when he didn’t love her he did. He will always care about her, and that shows how strong he is and how big his heart is. Andi is a lucky girl.

Fun story. When I first found out that the two main characters names were Andi and Ben, I immediately went, “Andi Anderson – How To Girl, and Benjamin Berry.” And then my mind went to, “OUR LOVE FERN!” So that was fun. It wasn’t anything like How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days though. But that didn’t make it any less great.

I was so excited to read Andi’s story! I loved what I knew of her from Miss Match, and looked forward to getting to know more about her and her story. She is a wonderful person, with a caring heart. I loved her and Ben together. I really admired Ben. What an amazing guy! And the chemistry between them – wow!

This book and Miss Match take place simultaneously. I would recommend reading them in order, although you don’t need to in order to enjoy the stories.
