Felicity Miner is not normally an anxious person, and she’s been on her own since high school. But after a shoplifter steals from her bookshop, she calls the cops. When Officer Leo Russo shows up, Felicity has to tell herself that just because the romance novel she’s been reading has a hero police officer doesn’t mean she needs to project her imagination onto the real man. Yes, Officer Russo is unexpectedly generous, and he helps make Felicity’s home more secure when her worries won’t settle down. But the more Felicity is around Officer Russo, the more she imagines a future between them.

Is he merely doing his duty, protecting and serving the citizens of Pine Valley, or is there potential for something more?

The Pine Valley Series is a great series and this book is great, too. This book has witty dialogue and a believable sweet romance.

Sweet clean romance. Somewhat predictable but there are some twists I didn’t expect.

Felicity has some hang ups. It is too bad that her parents couldn’t show affection for her. I was left wondering if they had been able to prior to Felicity or if it was just her circumstances that made it difficult. I was glad she was able to find a way to move on with her life and be happy instead of stuck in a negative mode.

Leo was pretty swoon worthy. Often in stories when the conflict arises, the two sweethearts are torn apart and their break is complete until the resolve. But in this book, they are torn apart but Leo doesn’t want to allow a complete break. He is still willing to be her friend and support her even though he wants more in the relationship. There is never a sense of him walking away even though Felicity expects him to. And it isn’t just saying he will. He actually does treat her like a friend. He is just a good guy. Plus I like that he takes all the women hitting on him in stride. He shows no interest or disdain. Everyone get treated the same.

There are some references to drug addiction and abuse but not as a major part of the book even though it is an underlying part of the story.

    Sex: some kissing
    Language: no
Violence: abuse to minor characters that move the story along but aren’t a big part of the story.

  3. 5 Stars!

Books, flirting, and a cop?! Could this series get any better. Feliclity is working the bookshop when someone steals from it she has to call the cops. She is normally calm and collected, however, between the thief and the responding officer, her mind just won’t settle down anymore.

Out of all of the 5 I have read so far, Finding Us is by far my absolute favorite!! All of the playfulness and cute moments just pushed this above the rest. I enjoyed laughing at different parts too, especially upon funding out who Grants blind date was. Everything about this story was wonderful, it even had some more exciting moments that get you to hold the book (or tablet) a little tighter.

Heather B. Moore is getting me hooked so much on her books, I can’t seem to put them down anymore. I’m starting the next in the series after I’m done typing, I can’t wait any longer to see who is next in the story. It was fun to read Finding Us, and watch as Felicity found more about herself and her past, as well as watching the romance bloom.
