I enjoyed this story about Lauren and Tanner. Sparks are flying at Mrs. Olsen’s wake when Lauren and Tanner run into each other. He thinks she’s reckless and she thinks he isn’t listening to her. The attraction they feel for each other is still there but unless they have a serious conversation about what happened 4 yrs ago their mutual attraction isn’t going anywhere.
I agree with both of them. Lauren is reckless and almost gets herself killed trying to feel close to her parents by chasing a tornado that hits Sunset Plains while she’s there. Tanner didn’t and still isn’t listening to her–he does what a lot of men do–tries to fix the situation she was complaining about instead of just listening and being there for her. Finally after another close call with a tornado they’re able to really talk and listen to each other.
I understand Lauren was lost after suddenly losing both of her parents at such a young age but I didn’t understand why she thought she felt closer to them putting herself in danger chasing tornadoes. I was glad to see she finally came to her senses and realized she was trying to bury the pain. I learned quite a bit about tornadoes in this book. This is a clean romance.
