I like the characters in this series and love this wonderful big family but I didn’t love that Cassie felt like the only way to “save the world” was to always go abroad seeking to help those in need. The book opens with an experience showing that there are children in need everywhere so she could serve right at home as well as around the world. Not that the children of the world aren’t worthy of help but since Cassie didn’t really want to travel and longed to be at home it seemed an obvious solution.
Aside from a brief meeting three months prior this insta-love relationship happened super fast over the course of a week. Insta-love isn’t my favorite.

    Sex: some kisses
    Language: no
Violence: threats, attempted kidnapping, self defense against attacker
