Another breathtaking book from Carla Kelly! I love how she incorporates historical details into her stories and shows you a lot about how harsh life really was (Wyoming in winter in 1886!) yet at the same time there are many sweet and tender and humorous moments that overshadow the tragedies. I was ready to stay snuggled up in front of a warm fire after reading about the cold, cold winter these characters survived. Loved the characters, including the four-legged ones!
