Kyra, a descendant of the Pied Piper, is the final member of her family to develop the ability to manipulate people with music.

The first day her dark gift manifests, she accidentally breaks the family’s number one rule: do not use music outside the home. With one thoughtless tune, she zombifies the cutest guy in school, gets kicked out of the house, and realizes the power she’s wished for wants to control her.

The newfound abilities are not child’s play—the last piper to lose control released the plague. Now, Kyra must find an honorable Master Piper to train her, before her family’s legacy breaks free and kills those she loves.

I loved this book!! Kyra is a descendant of the Pied Piper. She is a piper, and a very powerful one. The story begins when her gift first awakens inside her. Now she has to learn to control it. This is a great story, with great characters that come alive. Kyra is such a good person, and yet very real. She loves her family, and the way the siblings stick together is inspiring. The writing pulled me in and I just wanted more! Through the last several chapters, I felt like I was right there. I’m going to have a hard time waiting for book two to come out! Hopefully it won’t be too long.
