Bill was the bass player in a popular band, with a bottomless trust fund and an acceptance letter to Harvard.

Evelyn was a gifted actress who had just been offered the lead role in a major Hollywood movie production. She didn’t have time for romance.

But the attraction was instantaneous and love inevitable.

What neither of them expected was the level of hostility their parents would show towards their blossoming romance as dire measures were taken that would have permanent consequences.

Inspired by a true story, the novel is set in Santa Monica, California, in the early 1960’s. With the backdrop of Hollywood and the music industry, the young couple navigates through the twists and turns of a forbidden romance. Their love carries them against all odds, and it seems for a time they have endured it all.

But can their love save them from one final crisis?

What an amazing story. I could hardly put it down till I finished it. One of the best love stories you could read and you never know what parts are the real story and which ones are not since it all seems to be so true. Can not wait to see what this author brings in his next book.

The best book I have read in forever. Love the story and it flows nicely. I laughed and I cried and just couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for a sequel.
