Friendships and relationships formed and forged through the fiery furnace of experience have left Jayson Wolfe wiser, sadder, and anxious to embrace new hopes and dreams. In the life he’s reconstructing, his music is essential and failure is unimaginable. But does life ever go as planned?
In this first volume of her new series, acclaimed LDS storyteller Anita Stansfield reaches out to her readers’ hearts, minds, and spirits as she explores the joy and grief of relationships. The Sound of Rain is compelling and intense-a deeply rooted love story with heart-stopping consequences.
I definitely recommend reading this one. It’s excellent!
Not very descriptive, I know, but it is definitely worth reading!
I am really looking forward to seeing how Jayson’s story works itself out!

I especially liked the first two thirds of this book. I think it shows some of Anita’s finest writing.
You know, I have to say that Covenant has been putting out some pretty decent book covers recently.
I loved this book! It was a great read and I can’t wait to see what happens in the final book. I really like how she split these books up; it really leaves you wanting more.
I absolutely loved this book as well as the 2nd book, A Distant Thunder. I only have a few pages left to read and can’t wait for the 3rd book to be released! I have read almost all of her books and loved every one of them. Anita Stansfield is my favorite author!
I was really disappointed with this book. The story is great, but the writing is so weak. Adverbs & cliches on every page. Don't tell me she was stunned or he was sarcastic, show me! Don't tell me Jayson was dumbstruck. Show me by what he is doing that he is dumbstruck. Unless the writing has improved significantly, I don't think I will read the rest of the series. Great story, but very, very poor writing.
