Today we start the voting between all the genre finalists. These are the winners based on Reader votes, listed alphabetically by title. I know this is going to be difficult because how do you compare a cover for a superhero story with that of a contemporary romance or literary story? But you can do it.
Here are some things to think about:
1. Scroll down the post relatively quickly. Which covers did your eye pause on? Which made you stop and look?
2. Which cover best fits with its stated genre. For example, does the Historical cover invoke a historical feel to it?
3. Look at individual elements: are the typefaces readable? too large or too small? does your eye go to the important elements?
Pick your #1 favorite from this batch and then scroll down to vote using the poll at the bottom of the post.
ONE vote per person, please.
Voting Deadline: Midnight (MST), January 31, 2014
Remember: You are voting for the BEST COVER, not the best story, nor your favorite author or publisher.

Wow, so excited to see Ghost Moon Night up there! They are all amazing covers. Thanks for hosting this fun contest, Karlene!
This is wonderful!
I love all the historical covers, there is a gentleness in them in a very dark world. I also feel they will appeal to the younger generations as they reek of romance!
Ghost Moon Night has the most beautiful cover!!!
I think Relative Evil has the best cover.
Ghost Moon Night says it all!
I love Missing Royal. the bright cover color and nice full gown are very original and eyecatching, and made even more intriguing when I noticed the bow and quiver of arrows slung over her shoulder.
Wow. This time the choice isn’t easy.
The curious leaf has the best cover.
