Could losing her memory be the key to finding her happily ever after?

Sworn bachelor Colton Murdock gets more than he bargained for on a hunt when he finds an injured woman in Utah’s high country rather than the muy grande elk he is after. She must have a history, but she wakes up to towering pines and the clap of a thunderstorm with no recollection of her name or how she came to be there. Without his cell phone and no other way off the mountain, Colt brings her to the safety of his camp, trying to ignore the first stirrings of his heart since the tragic death of his fiancée six years ago. But that proves impossible. He calls her Skye for her captivating blue eyes, and her headstrong persuasiveness has him doing thing’s he normally wouldn’t do. When the cops show up the moment he shows his face with her in public, he begins to wonder if she is really the innocent victim or a criminal in disguise.

The young woman can’t resist the down-home southern charm of her ruggedly handsome rescuer. But her life goes into a tailspin when she is recognized as Lily Vanasche, fiancée of a popular TV news anchorman Nick Bornino, voted one of Utah’s most eligible bachelors, and then Colt is arrested as a suspect in a laundry list of crimes—including her abduction. After the real kidnapper leaves a death threat in Lily’s ransacked house, the clock starts ticking. Can she remember her past before her past catches up with her?

I listened to this book on audio, and the narrator is fantastic. She voices Colt flawlessly (I’m not a fan of the way many women narrators voice men), and her Southern accent is just right without sounding corny.

I was immediately hooked on the plot of this book–I liked the beginning of the book even better than the end, but the end was good too. The suspense is perfect, not over the top, and the revealing of the mystery comes in small doses, just enough to keep you reading!
