I enjoyed this second book in the Western Hearts series, and although the characters from the first book play a minor role, I’d consider this a stand-alone story. I felt like this story gave a fairly realistic look at some of the hard work and worries when it comes to running a ranch. I got a little frustrated at the stubbornness of Storm at times and her unwillingness to accept any help. There was some tragedy and heartbreak, some mystery and danger, and a sweet romance too!
