“Father, what are you doing?” Tessa whispered as loudly as she dared, fearful of waking the rest of her family. “Stop!”

“Go back inside,” he hissed at her.

She gasped in horror. “Your uniform!” Flames consumed the gray woolen coat and trousers. “Why?”

When Tessa Darrow discovers her father burning his Confederate uniform, she has no idea that his secret will take them to the wild West.

But life in the West doesn’t mean forsaking the gentility of her Southern upbringing, not with the likes of William Bates and Peter Sundstrom competing for Tessa’s affections.

  1. Hallo, Hallo fellow LDS Fiction readers who love a wickedly layered INSPY read!

I am a book blogger who reads across markets (both Mainstream & INSPY) who devours a hearty amount of genres per year. This particular release by Ms Steele was one of my Best Loved Books for 2015, as disclosed on my *End of the Year Survey, 2015*. This was a special story to read in the midst of the holiday season & especially during a difficult December when you’ve fallen ill & cannot settle your heart into books.

I love to cheer for this author & her style of story-telling because of the depth of her characters’ journey but also, because of how much Light she stitches into the fabric of her novels! Such a blessing to have first learnt of her collective works as a blog tour hostess! My first introduction to her was via “Willow Springs”, her debut novel! I am simply an overjoyed with wicked anticipation to see what she will release next!

I welcome you to visit my blog, read the quote from my review on the link I’ve shared whilst hopefully visiting a bit longer to read the review in full! I’d welcome your feedback & comments if this is a story you’ve been considering to read OR have blessedly loved reading it as much as I did!

*Due note: I originally received a copy of “Soda Springs” in exchange for an honest review by the publisher. I was not compensated for my opinion or thoughts shared therein.

Thanks for the shout out, Jorie! I’m so honored to know how Willow Springs and now Soda Springs touched you, and fed your soul during some difficult times. And I’m thrilled to know you and LDS Book Geek have found each other! I love blogosphere friendships!
