Dana is angry that her barely older twin sister, Sheanna, is going to marry Prince Arandir from the northern kingdom, and won’t let her attend.

Dana dresses as a guard and sneaks into the wedding party, which will meet Prince Arandir in the middle of the Marianna River. Unfortunately, as they approach each other, the ancient high dam upstream is blown apart.

A wall of muddy water sweeps Prince Arandir and Dana away, along with the wedding party. Dana finds herself far downriver in the wilderness with Prince Arandir, and she has to rely on her skill with the bow and arrow to get food and keep them alive.

As they work their way back home, Dana realizes that the prince is becoming a part of her heart. And above the dam, the receding waters have awakened something that will change their lives forever…
