Devastated by his abandonment, Miranda fled their home, taking residence at her husband s rarely visited countryside estate. For three years, she lived alone. But now, as the holidays draw near, an unexpected visitor arrives…

Carter Alexander Harford, Seventh Viscount Devereaux, is a man driven to succeed. His work is his life, and the position of Prime Minister of England is within reach. But in truth, Carter is a man haunted by lost love. Estranged from his beautiful wife, Carter is shocked to find Miranda—the woman he loved and who he believed left him—in residence at his country home.

As plans for a holiday party move forward, the uneasy couple realizes that to avoid further scandal, they must keep up appearances in a charade of marital happiness. 1. Sarah Eden is definitely one of the best regency romances writers!
Her books are WONDERFUL! EXCITING! And ENCHANTING!

She writes with such a passion that you can feel the emotions of the characters that help you fall in love with each and every one of them.

Her stories often involve a man and a woman~
The man always believes one way and the woman always believes another way and in the end they find out they were both wrong.

But that is what makes the book so right…And so good!

This is a book you will truly LOVE, and DEVOUR, and thoroughly ENJOY!

  2. There are only two romance writers that I can say I have have loved everything they’ve written: Jane Austen and Sarah M. Eden. I loved this book! I almost never cry over a book, but this one gave me a lump in my throat.

  3. You can never go wrong with a Sarah Eden book. I thought this one had a different feel than some of her earlier books. I guess it was more serious in content and it was missing some of the lightheartedness that I usually love in her books. I loved the story though and once you start reading you can’t put it down.

  4. Heather Jackson

This was so great! So many twists throughout and such a great story! I loved Sarah Eden’s characters in this book!

  5. Rachel

I loved this book, as I have every other Sarah M. Eden novel. Great storyline and fabulous writing!

  6. I loved this book, such an original story. I loved how the main characters were already married, but their relationship was broken. They were able to grow past their own prejudices and offer/accept forgiveness. Excellent story.

  7. Jen Geddes

Fantastic! It is a tear-jerker though! But I like how clean it is, just a cute married couple trying to get back something they thought they lost long ago. One of my favorites from Sarah Eden.

  8. Gayle Humpherys

I love Sarah Eden’s books and this was no exception, even though the story line was a little more depressing than some of her others. But the ending was still hopeful, as the title promises!
