A cowboy guitarist looking to make more money. The woman he’s trying to impress. Can Cache capture Karla’s heart through… cow cuddling?

Cache Bryant loves the dairy cows he brought to Last Chance Ranch, especially when he learns he can make some extra income with them. If he could get rid of his past debt, maybe he could convince the beautiful, curvy ranch chef/marketing director to go out with him.

Karla Jenkins runs all the marketing when she’s not feeding the cowboys and volunteers on the rescue ranch. And she’s intrigued by the concept of cow cuddling—and the man behind the idea.

But she has secret in her past she doesn’t want anyone to know, least of all the handsome cowboy who’s asked her to help him get the cow cuddling program off the ground.

She hasn’t been to church in five years, and that’s only the beginning of the differences between Karla and Cache. But the more time they spend together, the more Karla heals and the faster Cache falls. Maybe if they just keep their relationship a secret until Karla can figure out how to tell him the ugly truth about herself…

Will Karla find a way back to her faith? Or will she lose Cache in the shadows at Last Chance Ranch?

I thought goat yoga was a creative idea but cow cuddling? That might be even more so. Grew up on a farm and never once considered cuddling one of the cows. Maybe I should have tried it.

This is a clean, quick read romance along the lines of the rest of the series. I was impressed that this couple seemed to communicate better than most though they still had to have a little blow up before the happily ever after.

This book might be a little heavier in the Christian themes than other books in the series. Karla had some serious things in her past and felt like she was no longer worthy of God’s love so that is dealt with.

I think the one thing that bothered me is that the reader got to know the full circumstances of her past misdeeds but she doesn’t really tell the whole thing to Cache. What he hears sounds worse than what we know about it. It was great that she owned up to her choices and didn’t excuse herself but I kinda wanted him to know that it wasn’t maybe quite as bad as it sounded.

Sex: Some kisses. References to an affair in the past.
