Not my favorite Checketts book. The drama was too much for me. And the repetition was too much for me as well. I really couldn’t figure out why Kaleb was so attracted to Jasmine to be so insistent. She tossed him down both figuratively and literally time and time again and yet he still doggedly pursued her. Perhaps it is more believable that she had feelings for him since his music spoke to her soul long before they met but I couldn’t believe that he kept going back for more punishment and rejection when he didn’t really know her at all. There needed to be more interaction between them before I could believe that he really loved her. Attraction is one thing but I couldn’t see more than that. In short, the insta-love didn’t work for me.

This is Christian lit and the theme of “I’m not worthy” vs “God loves you” comes up on repeat.

I listened to the Audio version of this book and the 1st Quinn family as well but I just don’t think I’m going to continue on with this series. The narrator did a good job overall. His voice got really dramatic to match the action in the book.
