Out of money, out of food, even out of laundry detergent, Paige Vaughn is almost out of hope as well. With less than two semesters left until she graduates with her interior design degree, Paige hunkers down in the college library to weigh her options. Considering her estranged relationship with her mother, asking her parents for help is out of the question. She’d rather be homeless. She needs a cheaper place to live and a better paying job.

After Cooper Jennings career ending NFL injury and multiple surgeries, he’s gone back to college to get a second degree in interior design to compliment his architectural degree. Bruised by a string of failed relationships, and Is taking a sabbatical from romance. He’s not oblivious to the toll caring for him is taking on his parents, he’s determined to move out and relieve them of the burden of his recuperation from multiple surgeries. He knows they won’t let go him move out unless he’s supported by someone who cares about him, so he invents a fake relationship with his classmate and friend, Paige Vaughn. She is funny, talented, and never looks at Cooper with pity. He still doesn’t want a relationship, but finds himself drawn to Paige and whenever he’s around her, he can’t keep from smiling. Now all he has to do is convince her to become his personal assistant, and to help him get through his next surgery. Of course, to persuade his parents to let go of the burden of caring for him, they’ll need to be convinced he and Paige are a couple. What harm can come from an innocent white lie?
