A HAPPY ACCIDENT by Jennifer Moore. Jonathan Burles father has just died, making him the new Marquess of Spencer and the most sought after bachelor in London. An unfortunate accident leads to a forced marriage to Maryann Croft, a young woman who possesses no title, and an unexpected secret. With the unstable beginning to their marriage, finding love together seems impossible.

THE DISDAINFUL DUKE by G. G. Vandagriff. Lady Saphronia Huffington has always thought of herself as plain next to the beauty of her sister, Lady Lavinia. So when her sister becomes engaged to Lord Gilbert Caldwell and Saphronia is paired for wedding events with his brother, the granite-faced Duke of Mayfield, who is known to prefer beauties, she sharpens her wit. Thus begins a lengthy sparring contest during which the Duke realizes Saphronia is anything but plain.

AN INVISIBLE HEIRESS by Nichole Van. Miss Belle Heartstone has everything money can buy—houses, servants, carriages, clothing, jewels. A husband, however, is proving much harder to, ehr… purchase. Colin Radcliffe, the newly minted Marquess of Blake, is in desperate need of funds—preferably of the wife-free variety. When circumstances draw the two together, Blake might be the only man able to see beyond the Belle’s outer façade, and fall in love with the woman inside.

A Happy Accident by Jennifer Moore
During a rainstorm, Jonathan stops in Hyde Park to assist a stuck carriage–and shortly thereafter, finds himself reluctantly married to Maryann Croft, whose father accuses him of improper behavior with his daughter. Although he initially thinks Maryann has contrived to land herself a noble husband, he soon finds himself having softer feelings for his wife…but she has a secret that threatens to come between them.

The Disdainful Duke by G.G. Vandagriff
Although her sister Lavinia is engaged to his brother Gilbert, the Duke of Mayfield seems to have no use for Sophronia; she’s rather plain and not getting any younger, so he seems to think she must want to somehow ensnare him. Sophronia, however, sees nothing desirable in the duke. With their continued acquaintance, however, each find there may be more to the other than initially thought.

An Invisible Heiress by Nichole Van
Arabella Heartstone does the unthinkable: she proposes marriage to a gentleman. Colin refuses the proposal and in his rejection, suggest that she learn to fly, using her wealth and skills to succeed at more than just finding a husband. Belle, grateful for his advice, plans to repay his kindness anonymously by investing in one of his business ventures, never dreaming that her initial investment would lead to seven years’ worth of correspondence between the two. With Colin thinking he’s been writing to a gentleman mentor, however, his return to England creates all sorts of problems for Belle’s heart.

Delightful! I loved all of these stories. Usually in a collection of stories, I can pick out a favorite and a least favorite, but I can’t in this case; I thoroughly enjoyed each one of them. Each was well-written, with interesting plots and well-developed characters. This is one of my favorite collections of romantic stories.

I gush about these anthologies every time and I think this new collection is one of my favorites yet! A big, happy sigh from me upon finishing this earlier today. This is part of the new Timeless Regency series, which features three novellas in a Regency setting. I absolutely adored all three of these stories! Each one can be read in a sitting and yet still feature well-developed characters and plot and of course a happy ending!
In this collection, the stories all have a connection to springtime and Hyde Park, and yet they were all unique and different. We have one featuring strangers forced into a marriage, one with a “granite-faced” duke, and one spanning years that features pen pals with a secret. I have read several stories from the first two authors before, but the third author (Nichole Van) was new to me and I think her story was my favorite. I will definitely be looking at what else she has written. Absolutely loved this (as usual)!
